Dildo Brewing Company and Museum

The Dildo Brewing Company and Museum is a unique combination craft beer shop and Newfoundland museum. Overlooking Dildo Cove, this is a place where you can enjoy locally brewed beers at the tap room and explore Newfoundland's rich and diverse history and culture at the inhouse Dildo Outport Heritage Museum.

Brewery

Dildo Brewing Company's brewery (and kitchen) is on the second floor of the two-story establishment. Five unique brews are on tap: Blonde Root 80, Stout Dildo, Ise Da Bye Pa, and Red Rocks Ale, and Blue Eyed Bouy. Local ingredients are used as much as possible. For example, Red Rocks Ale gets its unusual red hue from Newfoundland beets, and Blue Eyed Bouy includes Newfoundland wild blueberries.

The brewery's four owners--Angie Reid, Roger George, Rob Reid, and Debbie George--have plans for seasonal brews in the future. They also plan to feature products from other local craft beer makers. The end result will let customers enjoy a unique, well-rounded craft beer experience.

Museum

The Dildo Outport Heritage Museum is located on the first floor of the brewery. The museum is designed to convey the rich history and diverse culture of Newfoundland. Numerous artifacts and historical relics have been donated by local Newfoundlanders. Contents include a wealth of information on archaeological digs in the area, as well as information on Dorset Eskimos and Maritime Archaic Indians.

The renovated museum was originally run by the Society of United Fishermen Lodge 84. Today, it is operated by local students. Contact the brewery or visit their Facebook page for more information.

A very well spacious craft beer tap-room with patio decks upstairs and downstairs, well ready for patrons even during pandemic times. Very comfortable seatings.. Gorgeous view through its large windows. Food is also available of good sizes. A nice place overseeing the ocean while enjoying a relaxing beer with fish and chips or nachos before heading home.

This Brewery has the best view over the harbour, their patios are absolutely stunning! It usually is quite busy during prime hours, however their ‘waiting’ area is right on the docks with nice wooden chairs. The beer selection is fantastic, a flight is recommended! We shared a plate of nachos as well, also very tasty! The merchandise is a must, because who doesn’t get a little giggle by the name of the town!
